UK Mattress Measurements

There are six standard UK bed mattress sizes. Mattress length and width is commonly referred to in the retail industry in Imperial units (4ft6 Double, for example) for the sake of simplifying the difference is size.

UK Manufacturers, however, produce their mattresses in Metric units (centimetres and metres) as a standard. This is why you sometimes see both units referred to, and we have included both below for easy conversion should it be required.

The Grand Pocket Spring Mattress is designed to deliver a premium balance of comfort and support, featuring a 20cm individual pocket spring system that responds independently to your body. This helps maintain natural spinal alignment while minimising motion transfer, making it ideal for couples. Reinforced outer springs provide enhanced edge support, improving stability and preventing roll-off.

Comfort is elevated through a copper-infused knitted fabric cover, offering a soft-touch surface with improved breathability for a fresher sleep environment. Plush quilted layers, including microfiber padding and ventilated wave foam, promote airflow and help regulate temperature, reducing heat build-up for a cooler and more comfortable night’s sleep.

Built for durability, the mattress includes multiple supportive layers such as high-density foam, cotton padding, and non-woven fabrics to protect and reinforce its structure. A strong polyester base ensures long-term stability, making the Grand Mattress a reliable choice for everyday use, suitable for most sleeping positions and all-season comfort.

800 pocket springs for superior support, each spring is individually wrapped which allows each spring to react independently from one another. This provides your body with better support, pressure relief, and corrects spinal alignment to a greater degree compared to coil springs. Independent wrapping also means there will be no roll together and the movement of a partner will not affect your sleep.
