When we were designing these mattresses, we looked at the three ways most brands handle "edge support." Most choices in our industry are made to make things easier for the manufacturer—we decided to make a choice that was better for your sleep.

Most "mattress-in-a-box" brands use one of two methods:

1. No Edge Support: This is the cheapest way, but it leads to that "roll-off" feeling where the mattress collapses when you sit on the side.
2. Stiff Wire Springs: This is very common because wire can be crushed in a box for years and still pop back up. However, these springs create a jarring, noisy "border" that you can feel through the fabric. They create pressure points and don't move in harmony with the rest of the mattress.

We chose a different path: A full 10cm Foam Encasement.

This creates a seamless, edge-to-edge sleep surface that is quiet, refined, and consistent. Whether you’re right in the middle or perched on the very edge.

The reason you don’t see this often is simple: premium, high-density foam has a "memory." Unlike "dead" metal springs, our foam is a high-performance material that needs to be released to perform at its best. To ensure it expands to its full, intended loft, we recommend it is unrolled within six months of manufacturing.

We’re now entering month five of this production run, and rather than store them beyond our preferred timeframe, we’ve reduced the remaining mattresses from this run by 50% while they’re still within their optimal expansion period.
